The Sarnia-Lambton Business Development Corporation (SLBDC)
has hired a troupe of five college and high school students who
will be "Bringing a little bit of Broadway to Main Street"
this summer, 2009.

Tia Colborne

Tia Colborne
Tia is proud to be a Sarnia, Lambton native. She began her training
in performing arts here in Sarnia at the Shirley Schram School of
Dance. After high school she was accepted in to the Randolph Academy
for the Performing Arts. Since graduating she has performed for
Disney Cruise Lines, in Russia in the musical 42nd Street, as well
as in many commercial performances as a dancer. She has choreographed
for dance studios and musical productions across Ontario and she
has adjudicated dance competitions and taught master classes across
Canada. She has also taught and choreographed for Randolph Academy,
Sheridan College, McMaster University and the University of Toronto.

Kai Arnel

Kai Arnel
For the past
4 years, Kai has been involved in many musical productions all over
South Western Ontario. For him, here is truly no greater feeling
than performing on a stage. Some of his recent roles include The
Beast in Disney's "Beauty and the Beast", The Lion in
"Wizard of Oz", Nanki Poo in Gilbert and Sullian's "The
Mikado". and 3 different productions as the dark *Count Dracula.
Kai would like to thank his wonderful grandparents for putting up
with him over the summer and to his mother, Cherylann for her love
and support.

Sara Joy

Sara Joy
Sara is entering
her fourth year at Wilfrid Laurier University for a music degree
in Orchestral Performance on clarinet. Although being trained as
a classical musician from a very young age, Sara harboured a love
for musical theatre from the moment she saw a production of Peter
Pan when she was three years old. Since then, she has been involved
in numerous musical productions including Oliver, The Wizard of
Oz, West Side Story, Les Miserables, Beauty and the Beast and How
to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. Sara is excited for
the chance to perform with Lambton MainStreet Players this summer.

Jessica Little
Dance! Dance! Dancing! Jessica is 17 years old, attends L.C.C.V.I.
and has been dancing for recreation and competitively since she
was 7 years old. Her singing ability and dance rhythms have been
a major part of her extra curricular activities. Jess lives on a
farm in St. Clair Township and is the oldest of three girls. She
has been dirt biking with her Dad since the age 4 so she is certainly
a multi-talented young lady. Her parents, Julie and David, have
always been a major support in Jess' life. She plans to attend Lambton
College and will continue in the Travel and Tourism courses being
offered.
Jess sang O Canada at the Sting Game on New Year's Eve 2008 and
was a soloist at the SCITS Revue for two years. She is an active
member of her church and is a fun loving young lady.

Tara Norman
Tara has been
singing since she was old enough talk. From family events and church
to funerals and weddings, she is always finding opportunities to
share her talent. Tara has always enjoyed musical theatre and most
recently was involved in Garden City Production's performance of
"Sweeney Todd" in St Catharine's. She currently resides
in Sarnia and will be entering the Child and Youth Worker program
at Lambton College in the fall. Tara is excited about the opportunity
to spend the summer doing what she loves!

Chris Westaway

Chris Westaway
Christopher Westaway is a 19 year-old from Sarnia. He is currently
attending school at the University of British Columbia. He has also
lived in far-away Busan, South Korea. In his spare time, he plays
the ukulele and sings in several languages. In Sarnia, he has appeared
in Theatre Sarnia's 'Sticks and Clones' and in Vancouver he plays
pop standards on ukulele at open-mics all over. His favourite baseball
player is Karim Garcia. |

Darryl Heater
Darryl Heater
is an 18 year old student currently enrolled in the Computer Programming
course at Lambton College, who is the Sound Technician for the MainStreet
Players this year. Darryl was heavily involved in the drama department
at North Lambton Secondary School while attending for 4 years. He
performed in several plays including: Flapper, Run for the Money,
High School Musical, A Christmas Carol, and Bye Bye Birdie. Darryl
also learned how to work with lights and sound equipment, and he
helped on the technical crew of the North Lambton Secondary School
Coffee House and Talent Show. He also accompanied a small group
of students to attend the Sears Drama Festival in Chatham, at which
he was in charge of lights and sound for their comedic performance
of Romeo and Juliet (Abridged). Darryl is extremely excited to work
with the MainStreet Players this summer, and believes this summer
should be a memorable one! |
